NOW...let me start off by saying, this is in NO WAY meant to be shade towards the good sis Pink or her fans.

She is definitely one of the most successful artists that came out in the early 00s and has become a touring force & a award winning artist. She is also well-respected by many in the industry and outside.

But when it comes to impact on Pop music or Pop culture, where exactly does the good sis stand? And what impact has she made?

I ask this with respect & curiosity and not shade...as I genuinely don;t know as I haven't followed her career.

But I would love for her fans to enlighten me.

Her impact is that she stayed true to her rock roots, I mean, there are a lot of people who enjoy her type of music, and she's been delivering it all through the years and feeding off of it, unlike Avril Lavigne who said she never wants to be one of those blonde barbie bitches, and bam one year later she became one. Good for Pink, bad for Avril.

But other than that, Pink is quite bland. Excluding the same type of vibe music, her performances lately with acrobatics are so predictible and boring...

Did Pink influence Avril in the beginning?

I don't really know because you usually associate impact with people copying you (i.e. GaGa), but in her case no one has really tried to copy her.

None. She'a just being loyal to her formula. No ambition to go outside her comfort zone. It has actually worked wonders for her as she managed to peak many years after her debut but there´s nothing really impact and iconic aside from her collaboration with Mya, Lil´kim and missy elliot on Xtina's song Lady Marmalade

She's always been very successful but I've barely ever seen her do anything out of the box other than her famous acrobatic performance at the Grammys. Her music has never pushed the envelope. Its good music but nothing out of the ordinary. To me, I don't see any impact, just a lot of fame and success.

She is the greatest performer I've seen.

Many artists have cited her as an influence (Adele for example) and she was one of the first artists to have an edgier take on pop music in a time of bubble gum pop, which many other then followed (like Kelly Clarkson). She is known for her acrobatic performances, which people like Katy Perry have attempted to do.

And she of course brought Linda Perry back in the music industry, who worked on multiple Xtina albums after Missundaztood

Remeber Christina before she cleaned up her act? When she was edgy & was using P!nk's writers?

Remember the edgy punk/pop girls of the early 2000s?

Remember when your fave dyed her hair blonde & cropped it?

Seriously open your front door, walk down your street for like 30 seconds, you will hear a p!nk song blasting from one of your neighbour's houses. Don't ask me why, idgi either.

I wouldn't consider staying true to your roots impact. Besides influencing other artists, P!nk has barely made any impact on pop culture/music. She's a great artist, but she hasn't had much impact.

I think she opened up a lane in pop music for the 00's girls to be "edgy" if that makes sense. She's always been kind of provocative and I think that's helped her younger peers do the same type of thing. Not "edgy" in a sexy way, but "edgy" as in embracing their flaws and calling people out.

Sometimes when people think about impact they think about instant.

P!nk made an impact but it's not one of those impacts you can see in - oh, she started that kind of sound that this and that followed.

She got values as an artist that other artists look up to.
She's a true preformer, she sings live. She stays true to who she is so even though few people before me strike it out as being an impact, it actually more than is. Cuz' there isn't any better impact than inspiring people, esp' when it's people who work in the same line of work as you do.

And that's before Glitter In The Air and other things she's done that made the "obivous" impact.

I need actual video footage of Christina making such claims. Until then... Sit. Christina has praised, Alicia Keys, Shakira and Jill Scott back in the day. But she has NEVER, not once cited Pink as one of her inpsirations.
