Considering Ubisoft is Nintendo's most staunch 3rd party supporter. This is kinda big.

Ubisoft is still probably seething with the zombi u and wonderful 101 floppage, I guess.

Nintendo kinda put themselves in this position tbh but it's still sad how support from 3rd party devs are slim to none.

Nintendo needs to make a tablet-like handheld device that can also stream games to the big screen.

Release all the major games like Pokemon, Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing etc in the first 3 months and they would slay.

Nintendo needs to go software only. They have such a catalogue of iconic games. Imagine playing Pokémon, Mario, or Zelda on iOS and Android devices.

However, Nintendo has been against expanding platforms for a while now, as it would surely mean the death of their hardware.

And who would buy that underpowered mess when the tablet and mobile market has like thousand companies out there competing for your money?

And Nintendo will never go software only when their handhelds ranks in millions.

Why? It would be a great move for staying relevant, it would allow Nintendo to expand its user base by millions.

Why would they do that when they already make millions with their handhelds?.
There has yet to be a nintendo game on other consoles/platforms and I don't think they will start now.
