Pretty much this. They are beyond rich so they can afford a few flops this is just a bump in the road.
I do wish they didn't give up on the Wii U so easily tbh but this new console needs a HDD like the PS4 that you can upgrade.

Because other tablets don't have Pokemon, Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing and other Nintendo exclusives. The fact that you would also get a handheld+home console in one is pretty appealing.

Nintendo fans are not about graphics, DS and Wii proved that.

What worked in their favor was not focusing on graphics and getting good titles out the door.
But they are not without problems themselves. Games outside of the typical nintendo fanfair have a hard time getting localized or promoted.

I do think they should be more serious about games other than their own so they gain more buyers.

Oh well.

I don't know why people are upset over the fact that Nintendo is struggling to get 3rd party games on their consoles.
None of them even come close to Nintendo's original titles.

Who buys Nintendo for 3rd party?

Nintendo's too proud of a company so that will never happen. The day they step away from the console market is the day all their franchises die.
