Why do people think this is a valid argument?
Minimum wage has not kept up with inflation. It's impossible to live off of minimum wage, even full time ($7.25 per hour equals only $15,080 a year a full-time, year-round). This is especially relevant considering that the average minimum-wage worker is
35 years old and often supporting children.
Wealth inequality is immense, similar to how it was before the 1929 stock market crash and ensuing depression. Things need to change.
