Obviously this issue have been bothering me personally, my gay friend who happens to know at uni and my gay antics, keeps telling how my behavior tends to attract attraction and raise question about my sexuality. He thinks I look to suspicious. I bit campy but never over the top feminine. My shyness, social awkwardness, and my quirkiness gets often mistaken for being gay. I don't have a feminine high pitchy voice, but I have this windy type of voice. Also, I'm naturally skinny and average height-ed so I don't wear baggy clothes, so everything looks body fitted over me. He also thinks my walk or laughter are another ways which are exposing me. I really don't walk fast in motion, but I really walk in such monitored way cause I feel people are watching over me. Maybe my laughter sounds gay but I don't do hand gestures.
I really want to know how can I pretend how to be straight since I can't be around a girl for faux dating ?

Well, we live in such a phobic society that self hatred comes within the same community. Most gays won't even look at another gays if they are claimed as "feminine".

You can't worry about what others think, no one pleases everyone. You especially shouldn't be ashamed to be what you are, there's nothing wrong with being gay or being effeminate. If someone won't accept you just because you're gay or don't act masculine then they don't deserve any respect, much less you as a friend.
