Why and how would it be instinctual? You're saying like she learned a defense mechanisms for black people.
It can all just be from observation. It's not always particularly taught. If a young child sees adults tense up around a black individual, then he might later learn to also get tense and uncomfortable.

No, I'm saying that racial attitudes can start in early age.
So that's learned behaviour, not instincts. Instinctual would be behaviours that have an revolutionary basis, and were useful by people from long ago such as being afraid of the dark, or snakes. Being afraid of black people is not instinctual, it's most likely learned behaviour by the family someone is raised in -- implicit or explicit.
but what can you expect with race conversations on atrl. its always whites hate blacks, whites are racist!
