So that's learned behaviour, not instincts. Instinctual would be behaviours that have an revolutionary basis, and were useful by people from long ago such as being afraid of the dark, or snakes. Being afraid of black people is not instinctual, it's most likely learned behaviour by the family someone is raised in -- implicit or explicit.
