I think people are just uncomfortable around the unfamiliar. Like, I use to be really scared of ghetto places and would avoid driving through them even. And then one day, I walked through one to take pictures for photography class and it wasn't so bad
it's usually the parents that influence these kind of decisions..
i mean this is sad though.. because we are in the 2010's, kids shouldn't be biased even if they arent on there own and are influenced from their parents
It can all just be from observation. It's not always particularly taught. If a young child sees adults tense up around a black individual, then he might later learn to also get tense and uncomfortable.
That is a taught behavior though, yes children mimic their parents (and others) from a very young age.
