It seems like a lot of girls love the gay guys because they see them in a stereotypical bubble like someone to go shopping with, turning up with, just some casual fun. However, do you think these kinds of relationships are meaningful and considered a legitimate friendship? Do they really care about our stories about hooking up with our men, etc? I think the G.B.F. movie is similar to this situation in how the girls wanted gay friends to call them "fierce" and be flamboyant.
I would say no. There was a transgendered woman in the CVS yesterday, and the lady in front of me was giving the trans the evil eye all stern and hard for no reason. She wasnt standing in line but she stepped up beside me. So I asked her was she in line. She responded "well are you asking me to get behind you?" I didnt respond. She had a very snappy attitude. Soon as the clerk asked for the next customer, I walked up. She then said "I'm tired of these queens". I was very confused, because I didnt say anything wrong and I was VERY polite when I asked her was she in line. I called her a bitch and she said "wtf you calling me out of my name for?". I was confused again, as she did call me a queen first. She then continued by saying "you wish you had everything I did."

On many occasions I've had straight girls that I just met tell me things like "omg you're my new gay best friend" or **** like that...but that's a huge turnoff to me in terms of friendship, and I usually don't cozy up to that kinda person because I don't like feeling objectified like that.
But there are plenty of straight girls out there who don't look at gay men that way.
