looking at places to get my tattoo. I'm getting "Live Life" in Arabic with birds flying off at the end kinda like the letters turn into the birds representing freedom as well. I know it's corny but it represent me and everything in my life the past few years.
Do any of you have any tattoos or want to get any. And if you do can you help us newbies out with the whole priceing so we don't get ripped off lol and where it hurts the most and hurts the least.
I have a tattoo of a compass on my inner right arm. It's from just the tip of my armpit down to my elbow and it took three hours to do. The outline didn't hurt, but the colouring did. Also my hand got completely numb and it was awkward to stand after because my legs were asleep. But it was bearable, I laughed the whole time getting my tattoo because I'm weird when it comes to pain.
I have one finger tattoo and it was relatively painless. Mine was $50, a small tattoo really shouldn't be more than $80. You want to go for a spot with the least amount of nerves if you want to avoid pain, and make sure you look after it properly for the first week afterwards to avoid fading. Good luck!

I'm thinking of getting it on my shin going to my calf i actually want a sleave but from my knee to my ankle on my left leg.
I have two tattoos. I got the deathly hallows symbol tattoo'd on my right hand wrist as a memorial for my grandma (we read all the Harry Potter books together and really bonded because of them). And then I have a diamond tattoo'd just above my hip/on my lower left abdomen. Both are pretty small and only use black ink so they were pretty cheap.
I'm planning on getting a huge floral piece on my shoulder blade/down the left side of my back. That should be pretty large and very colorful, so I'm prepared to be spending a couple hundred dollars on it.
My best advice is don't worry about the pain, because it's a pain that's worth it. Just thinking of the finished product while getting tatted will really make the pain feel a lot less drastic. I'm willing to sacrifice a couple hours worth of pain for a lifetime of artwork that represents something valuable to me.
You need to figure out where to put them tbh. I have a poem on my thigh and a sentence on the top of my shoulder but they're in those locations because the tattoos and places serve a meaning. My poem was 70 and it's 7 lines but that's extremely cheap. It felt like someone had a knife and carved my leg for thirty minutes. But that was because he used the smallest needle possible and thighs kill. Top of the shoulder didn't hurt and it was 75. Yours will prob be like 200.
