"not pushing an agenda" the hypocrisy already


^ kids already understand 'gay' , and they really dont much care - it is when society intervenes and pass their negative connotations of 'gay' do we start having a problem.

It is always a joy when the One Million Hypocrites talk about people pushing an agenda as they push their own. They are like the fly crawling on a hearty pile of Westboro Baptist Church.

what is not family friendly about it? There are enough love caring gaycouples, who adopted kids, because their biological families weren't so friendly or were simply not been able to care about their kids for whatever reason. If they want to go conservative, also boycot every televisionprogram that has divorced parents etc. etc. which in most cases causes more damage to kids than growing up in a loving and caring family, whether it be male/female, male/male or female/female.

We live in 2014 for god's sake, go try to find your bows and arrow's and hunt down some chickens and cows if you want to be conservative!

TV-shows should represent reality and not the picture perfect family that they have in mind.

I hope the show doesn't get cancelled because of this tho

The series is ending soon anyway. So, why bother? What an absurd story.

I wouldn't want my 5 year old niece or nephew watching a kids show that has gay couples in it, it's doing too way much. They're kids. All they know is mommy and daddy. Its not disneys responsibility to educate children to same sex love.

I didnt like that episode. They tried way too hard to make it seem normal, it didn't come off as a normal thing. My sis didn't even catch that they were gay so if they were trying to spread the message to kids they failed.

Maybe in 1930, but now there are all kinds of families possible.
There are tv-series about divorced families, families where the mother or father deceased, series where both parents deceased and where they live with their grandparents or aunts and uncles or even with foster care. You have series where kids get basically raised by their nanny's etc. etc.

Kids do not only know about their mommy and daddy, kids are smarter than most people give their credit for. Gay couples are also an example of family couples in this world. Kids should learn that, just like they learn about the fact that certain kids don't have either their mother or father around, or why the kid from school lives with her grandma and not her parents.

It is als not about responsiblity, it is about a platform that makes series with realistic and current situations. They could make series about the happy family, with two kids, a dog, a beautiful garden, with a father who has his own company and the mother who makes the best cookies in the world. With the only problems they surface are bullying, parents losing jobs etc. but those are not the only problems and situations in the world and also not a realistic picture to sketch.

The main character in "Hey Arnold", a cartoon from the 1990's, was raised by his grandparents. I wonder how confused the little kids were then.

This organization makes children look to be drooling idiots. Being naive and being stupid are 2 different things, and I don't know if this organization gets that. Children can understand a concept like 2 women/men being together. They might find it odd at first, like how some might find it odd that people drink goat's milk, but that doesn't mean they can't be introduced to it. They learn something new and get on with their lives.

Oh, and I saw that episode, and I personally thought they handled it really well. They weren't shoving it in people's faces that they were a gay couple, but it was also evident if you listened at all.

Take this with a grain of salt as you are entitled to your own opinion BUT... I come from a single parent home and a few years back in the Boy Scouts a thirty-something adult leader only knew MOMMY AND DADDY relationships. He took it upon himself to 'educate' the other scouts about how this made me less of a man, less of a leader. Not saying that a silly Disney Channel show will alter people's perspective but if children grow up exposed, we won't have these issues later down the line.
