Honestly, her music hasn't been good since 'Confessions'. I think the fact that it's just not good music, paired with the fact that the GP doesn't care for her singles so much as her albums, contributed to that.

She never mocked 9/11, she mocked George Bush and was against the wars he started.
Both contribute to her lowering US airplay, honestly. It was a risky time to be against Bush and his wars, and it left a lasting impact on her radio power.
Her music hasn't been as good as expected for someone with the title of Queen of Pop.
I sincerely need her to slay. I would love to praise her and say I listen to Madonna, but currently her music status doesn't let me.
