♛ Verse I ♛
It's a war of the worlds
It's a battle for the throne
It's a fight to the death
For our loved ones praying at home
It's a chance to survive
To prove that we can stay alive
And fight for what's right
And live to see our empire rise
♛ Chorus ♛
Oh it's a strike in the night
The dark with no light
But we, can still stay alive
Oh it's a bomb in the dark
Just to remain who we are
But we, can still stay alive
Oh we, can sur-vive.
♛ Verse II ♛
We have the kings and the queens
Who don't know what it means
To risk their lives, on, the battlefield
Why can we sacrifice ourselves
And give up everything we love
But they can't do the same?
Oh, why can't they just do the same?
♛ Chorus ♛
Oh it's a strike in the night
The dark with no light
But we, can still stay alive
Oh it's a bomb in the dark
Just to remain who we are
But we, can still stay alive
Oh we, can sur-vive.
♛ Bridge ♛
I don't wanna die tonight
So let's just live for tomorrow
Oh I don't wanna see the light
Or drown in the blood of my sorrows.
I don't wanna die tonight
So let's just live for tomorrow
Oh I don't wanna see the light
Or drown in the blood of my sorrows.
[repeat both again, but with troops singing along in the background]
♛ Half-chorus | Outro ♛
Oh it's a shot in the dark... just to remain who we are.
But we, can stay alive..
Oh we, can sur-vive.

The hard thing is is that I never write in alliterations. So I have to change my normal writing style which will probably make me chart low.
It opens you up to new styles, though. Even if you do chart low, it's a helpful experience. I never consciously write alliteration, but I see quite a few instances of it. Maybe it just comes naturally to me, though.
[Intro]
Yo man, sittin over here tryna put together this
This paper man (word) tryna go down to the university
And um, I'm tryna teach this course on how to be an MC
So (aight, aight)
They wanted me to like, submit them an article
They tell me to write a double essay
Or somethin like that so (a double essay?)
Y'know I'm tryin to work on that
(Word, oh so they want you to prove your qualification?)
Yeah so (damn) tell me what you think about this..
[One.Be.Lo]
So so amazin, so so amazin
So so amazin, so so amazin
Secret Service agent, surely slowly aging
Shootin suckers, amazin super-soaker aimin
Silent skill assassin, surfer sayin "Awesome"
Still slammin anybody, Stone Steve Austin
Sorta sour apple, spittin slang at'chu (ah-choo!)
Senim Silla's anthem, stealin shows in action
Sixty seconds, and sexy shorties admire
Somebody should acquire sixty-seven amplifiers
Silky smooth adult, soakin soapy aloe
Storm shadow, attackin swingin swords ample
Soldier solo Army
Stop shootin archery, shell shocked armory
Skills symbolize artillery
Scratch sniff activated sensory, super auxiliary
Some sail away south Sydney, Australia
Souvenir shops always see some aliens
Solar system apparatus, scale stratus
Atmosphere scary, Spielberg actress
Soul sister Asian
Sweet sixteen adolescent, sweat shop accommodations
So so amazin (so, so) so so amazin (so, so)
So so amazin (so, so) so so amazin
This is really hard challenge though, know that whatever hardships you're going through on this, everyone else is too!
I was thinking about this challenge in school (I was going to write to this challenge using the letter H, if anyone wanted to know ), and I realized that this challenge is a really great challenge for the people who are playing to improve their songwriting.
First, alliteration is an effective writing tool that enhances words that need enhanced in a song, and also makes things stick easier. It's one of the best ways to create catchiness within a song, especially pop songs.
Secondly, more about this particular challenge, this challenge leaves you guys to write about any subject you want, unlike last round where your options were more limited. For some writers, being left with little wiggle room actually sparks more creativity within some (I like to think I am like that), but I understand that for others it's not like that.
So Adam, you are actually a genius for coming up with this. This challenge is the most practical and flexible challenge that we have had all season, and maybe even in Platinum Hit history.
Oh, and I am going to post an example song of alliteration soon, so if you are curious as to what songs use it, I am going to post one.
Actually, that makes it harder.
It's easier when you make things more specific. For instance, have you ever sat down and thought to yourself "I'm going to sit here and write a song" without any specific direction? It's really difficult and can end up sounding uninspired. Whereas if you sit down and think to yourself "I'm going to sit here and write a song with a water motif" or "I'm going to sit here and write a song about a boy who runs away from home" things get much easier. Even if you're not going to use every last drop it's easier to have specifics when writing.
And I wouldn't really say this is that practical. Alliteration is far from the norm in modern pop songs; in fact you can barely find it in any songs. I mean, my example above is a lyrical masterpiece but it's also not very popular. I couldn't think of any popular songs with prominent uses of alliteration.

Okay, so this might *not* be the strongest example of alliteration within a song, but it proves my point. I might ask Adam if he knows any songs with alliteration.
Hey, I heard you like them wild ones
If I took your heart, it'd be a home run
Show me how you do
I wanna shut down the club with you Hey, I heard you like them wild ones
Oh, and if you think that R, S, T, L, or N are bad letters, they are the most common consonants in the English language (which is why you are given them for free on Wheel of Fortune), and it is why I made sure to use them.
What is this example

Almost done with my song. Just need to think of another alliteration. I really like my track so far, I think I might get at least top 5. It's kinda like Chasing Stars, Part II but without any corny references to stars and astronomy.
