In the past few days, I've seen a lot of people say negative things about "Royals." Quite a few people say that they don't want it to top the Billboard Hot 100. However, I don't see anything wrong with it. Why is it that "Royals" is getting so much negativity from people on ATRL?

People are starting to dislike Lorde as a person/celebrity.

I don't like her music and her personality. She can flop for all I care

ATRL and others don't like her attitude. I personally am not a fan of her attitude, but her music is fine.

Because it's a bad song. The only reason people are buying it is because they think it's "real music". The whole "I'm so cool and I don't need money" is just a cheap gimmick.

I have nothing against the girl though. It's amazing that she's just 16 and already seeing such success.

So, does that mean she's going the same direction as The Wanted?

you know ATRL will trash every succesful song that isn't by one of the big pop girls especially if it's alternative

It's an average song that hit #1 on Itunes so people are upset their faves aren't doing it.
