Yes, but Katy's team continued supporting her after her first era. Ke$ha's team stopped the intense backing after her mother made it clear she wasn't comfortable with what Luke was/is doing. Luke and Ke$ha have a horrible relationship, and when you hate the man who handles your promotion and albums, it's not a good sign.
If that had put as much effort into the Warrior era as they did the Animal era it probably would have sold about the same.
Ke$ha got two big TV spots (AMA's and GMA) for the Warrior era whereas the Animal era had her perform at the AMA's, (twice), Billboard Awards, MuchMusic Awards, Teen Choice Awards, Ellen, GMA, Saturday Night Live. Warrior's performances were also at the beginning of the era when Die Young was peaking. Animals promo was spread across the year and a half the era lasted, hence why it's sold 3.2 mil + worldwide.
