While yes, both girls had great songs/hits, I believe it's Katy's team combined with the structure of her songs that led her in the path of such success. While Ke$ha has undeniable bop after bop, Katy's discography comprises mainly of pop - that is she had a mix of ballads, dance-pop, and general pop - all of which saw release. While Ke$ha had similar songs in her discography, the only songs that saw release were the uptempo electropop songs, causing the gp to believe that she only made songs of that manner. Unfortunately, I believe that this is the causing factor in Katy's reign and Ke$ha's current situation

I'm hoping Ke$ha comes back strong with her next album though.
