Ke$ha has a great team. They got her debut album to open MUCH bigger than Katy's debut album. They really put her out there. And as mentioned in the OP, on the creative side she basically has the same team as Katy.

A good label or marketing team. Her label is stuck in 2010 & just wants to keep trying to sell tired, party songs. I love her to death & love all of her songs but releasing Die Young & C'mon back to back was a huge mistake.

I think Warrior could've come out differently if she released Die Young & then something different (Last Goodbye, preferably) & then followed that with Crazy Kids (not featuring Will.i.am, who killed the song).

Ke$ha simply doesn't have appeal of any kind. She tried to pull of a crazy person on the beginning, and it was kind of cool, but there wasn't enought reason for the GP to look forward. I believe she will always make hits (as long as she keeps with the same songwriting team: Dr. Luke, Max Martin, Benny Blanco etc.), but she will never be popular.
Although I don't like Katy, I understand why the GP does. She's not controversial, plays the funny girl with the clever lines and is very pretty.

Image, Katy's is and has always been cute, fun, likeable and attractive which plays into the hands of kids and teenagers. Ke$ha on the other hand has always had a trashy, street walker image which people just don't take seriously.

Tik Tok is much better than California Gurls, I could never get into that song.
I also think Kesha's more authentic than Katy, but Katy serves pop songs and Kesha's image and songs are harder for the GP to swallow.
