People also use "gay" as a negative term but its not being used homophobicly I get slightly annoyed when people use the words "f****t" and "gay" so loosely because you're using a classification of a group of people as a negative term .You wouldn't see people walking around saying things like "Oh thats so (fill in a racial group name here)" when they dont like something

It depends on the situation, if you're calling a gay guy one just for being gay that pisses me off to no end but if someone is being...well a ****** that doesn't piss me off.

I tell you what pisses me off, when people say:

"Urgh, that's gay" as in to say, "that's weird"

Or - "that looks gay" or "you're so gay"

And the way they throw the word fa-g, fa-ggy, -fa-ggot around like it's a harmless word

Thats not the point though because alot of people use the word gay for weird or stupid. For example you watch a tv show and someone doesn't like it and they go "That was gay". Its not right for people to use the word like this You wont someone say something like "That's so Chinese/Italian/British/etc" to replace the word weird or stupid

i only get mad when someone uses it to hurt me, tho im not mad they use that word its the fact they think they can use to hurt me, tho in general i dont give a crap i say ****** all the time

I've so gotten used to a now-close friend of mine calling me by it during the early days of our friendship whenever I hit on him (and I hit on him a lot ) that it doesn't bother me in the slightest anymore, although it really didn't bother me all that much before that anyway.

I honestly have never experienced this, so i can only take your word for it. I would say though, that in the context of the world, homosexuality is not seen as an orientation fully accepted by all. This doesn't mean i condone it, but for those living in heterosexual relationships may have a harder time understanding it and will therefore cite it as weird.

On a side note, it was funny when Azealia Banks got a bunch of heat from gays who get upset by the word. Days before, these same gays were jamming to her songs with the constant repetition of the N word. All of a sudden when the derogatory term was about them and their minority group, they got all angry.

If one is against hate speech like the F word against gays, one should be equally against the N word too.
