ok im about to watch it but i'd rather not invest ALL my time into this to find out its a load of poo. So, is it any good? Will i enjoy it and not lose interest after 5 episodes? Is it funny?
Well if you think a series where a Chemistry teacher gets cancer and hooks up with a small-time drug dealer to build a meth lab and get into serious business and trouble with drug king pins is a good plot line then this is a series for you. Brian Cranston is amazing in it.
Not going to lie, it took me two tries to get into the show.

Season 4 is holy-**** amazing
Season 5 is beyond phenomenal.
It is the only show I have ever seen that ties up all loose ends as they come. Things from waaaaaaay back in season 1 and season 2 are coming into play again...it is amazing. Brilliantly written, and not to mention that Brian Cranston shows off how great of an actor he is. After Malcolm in the Middle, I didn't think he could be a serious guy...I was criminally wrong.
If you like Dexter / Game of Thrones / other Showtime and HBO shows, this is definitely up your alley. the fact that it is on AMC and so well done blows my mind.

OMG i love GoT. Is it like The Killing? (best show ever!!!)
I have not seen the Killing, but if you like drama shows (with humor peppered in) you will simply **** briks while watching Breaking Bad. Somethings to keep in mind:
1 - It rewards you for patience. It takes a while to get going, but it snowballs really well!
2 - It has a somewhat large cast. There are a bunch of names thrown around, but if you pay attention you'll follow along fine.
3 - Do NOT go on media sites (reddit / wikipedia / fan forums) until you finish the show, as it is still going on (last season this August) and they ALL post huge spoilers.
4 - Pay close attention to the show. There are hidden motifs everywhere. Each character has a color (Marie = purple, Walt = Green, etc.) a special type of lighting effect, there are pictures, and dramatic shots...it is fascinating. I picked up on it more-so my second watch through, but finding them and piecing them together is awesome.
I just started watching it and it got me hooked! I went through the first season in a day, currently watching the second season and I love it. It's brutal and funny, a bit weird and uncomfortable at times but in a cute way. Love the acting too.
