I've seen a lot of stans on here defending their faves flops with a "Oh she didn't care", and I wanted to know if you guys thought this argument is valid. Every artist cares about their successes and failures and is ignorant to say they don't.
What do you think? Which stanbase does this the most?
I think it depends on the song tbh; if it's a song that's evidently "trying too hard" to chart i.e. generic beat/video then the "not caring" argument is invalid.
For example, the argument is valid in the case of Azealia's Yung Rapunxel but wouldn't be valid for Ri's WHYB/RN

I didn't use this site during the 4 era so maybe that's why I haven't seen it?
I wouldn't make that excuse anyways because you can tell that Beyoncé worked real hard during the 4 era but due to non mainstream music it didn't chart well.
