Simple question. The public is smart enough to know they're out there. It's 2013 now... isn't it time that we finally got the truth? Should the government make it public that they exist, and do you think they will ever go through with it?

Nobody knows if aliens exist or not.

But can you even ask this question when they may never be here in the first place? Aliens probably do exist somewhere in the Universe but its hard to say that if any is actually on this planet. Its just conspiracies and even if it is true does the public deserve to know? Would our society be prepared enough to acknowledge the existence of other intellectual beings in the Universe?

If some other life exists outside of Earth, which could be possible, they are probably thinking we are the aliens. If government wasn't interested in letting us know, then why would they fund NASA and other scientific ventures?

Not sure how everyone would handle it. I mean absolute confirmation. As in they release photos, videos, and actually set up meet and greets. I would love to think I would be receptive and happy, but to be honest I think I would kind of freak out. But I would soon realize the possibilities that are out there and begin to get very excited.

The mere fact that life as we know it (what we refer to as "life") exists on Earth is nothing short of a miracle. This all was only possible because we are on the perfect planet with the perfect distance to a perfect yellow sun wandering in an (almost) perfectly circular orbit around it. This is a one in a million times kind of thing. Or maybe one in a billion, who knows.

There probably are alien races somewhere else. But the chance that there is one close enough to us to get in contact with them must be absolutely miniscule...
