I just listened to this for the first time and I think it's really awesome that a dance/funk/soul throwback as good as this is #1 on BB. Appropriately retro, yet playfully modern.

the song has very mich the potential to break Mariah's record on mediabase. The song could still gain up to 30 million impressions on POP alone.. + 15-20m impressions from Urban and maybe another 10m from rhythmic + whatever the song does on HAC..(another 10m probably)...that alone would put it at 245m impressions on mediabase. AC will make and break the record for Robin. It needs another 80m impressions to break WBT's record, probably 75m after tomorrow's update.
with sales and streaming being so high + the immensely increasing airplay.. it may also be a contender for another one of Mariah's record, namely the longest running H100 #1.. it could very well tie or break her 16 weeks record as well. Robin is out of compition right now on the h100... there is no song in the near future which I think can top it.
I think it has more chance at breaking Mariah's run at #1 than outdoing her AI record. Blurred Lines is already on week 5 at #1 and its so far away of any competition, and the gap is only going to increase even more next week. 10+ weeks seems a certainty now, so it should at least break Rihanna's record from this decade.
