DEFINITELY Monsters U. You have two big groups dying to see it: kids & their parents AND the millenials that grew up with the characters. My guess is that it'll finish at #3 for the summer (with MoS at #1 and IM3 at #2).
I loved Despicable Me, but I don't think it has as much widespread appeal as the Monsters.

They both are getting my coins, but probably Monsters U simply because it's one of Pixar's more successful movies and has spanned over 10 years so I sequel is long overdue. I think people will be more hungry for a sequel for an animated classic that came out in 2001 than a relatively new animated film that just came out just 3 years ago.

Despicable Me 2 will win. The public loves those minions. The movie was cute but was literally sight gag after sight gag. Monsters had better storytelling.
