They leave out a lot of countries so no. If I want worldwide receipts, I want WORLDWIDE receipts. Not "75% of the world" receipts or "kinda sorta worldwide" receipts.
I do wonder what the obstacle is to tracking actual WW album sales like Soundscan does for the US.
Worldwide box office gets reported by studios down to the exact dollar... I guess maybe having to deal with a huge variety of vendors across different countries proves more nettlesome.

I've always wondered this too. I would love to have an exact amount of album sales for all my faves.
Mr Peanut- I think it's because there is no way to track sales in most Asian countries (and South America, Mexico, etc). Aside from the big cities in those places, all transactions are done without computers/registers. Even in developed cities in Asia, it's still hard to find vendors (for anything) that take anything other than cash. There is so much work to be done on so many societal/economical aspects before implanting technology like soundscan would even be an option, lol.
Shipments are really the only way to know how much an album "sold" worldwide. And it'll be that way for a while I'm sure.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Those Asian countries stay a mystery.
