So, as you all know, Apple's stock has decreased dramatically since last year (it was around $700) and now it is hovering around the $390-$420ish range. They haven't launched any new products since the iPad in 2010. Their competitors are gaining traction, specificaly Samsung. Apple has been selling less iPhones and iPads. Not launching the iPhone 5 on T-Mobile with the other 3 national carriers did hurt them. Is Apple fading??? Vote and discuss.

Apple may not be as strong as they used to be but I think it's going to take a lot more for anyone else to replace them at the top of the market.

Apple has had quite a few missteps, but they're still pretty ubiquitous here in NYC (even when some folk have no business being able to afford it).

Irrelevant unless you know when those people bought their iPhones. I have one but I've had it since November '11 and am bound to it until November of this year and I HATE it.
I'd say Apple has been on a steady decline since Steve Jobs died.

They'll start fading soon, ever since Steve Jobs left they've gone downhill, no new ideas
iPhone, 2,3,4,5 are all just the same but different design and features, the same goes for the other Apple products
Microsoft will soon take their crown back

I should have put "than expected" at the end of that.

Microsoft is unbothered and never suffered during Apple's reign.

WP is doing fantastically
Zune's did so well during the iPod reign
Windows OEMs aren't dragging Microsoft in the media right now either

But year over year gains for the iPhone and huge gains for the iPad. A true flop

Not true at all. Microsoft is doing worse. For one PC sales are on a huge decline, people are not buying them. Since Microsoft is the dominant seller they soon will be replaced in that market by tablets. Also known as the post-pc market. Right now Apple dominates this market, and with the recent news of their sales their control of the market will widen. In other words Microsoft is the one declining not Apple.

Errr... no. If you think stock prices represent the relevance of a company then you don't know what you're talking about. Their stock is only going down because of stupid analyst reports, and when it was in the $700 range, that's because there was tons of hype surrounding the iPhone 5 and the iPad Mini. It was in the $500 range last summer. Their stock will even out again after they update their lines of products.
They're still selling amazingly well despite what people like to believe, and just because the iPhone wasn't substantial enough of an upgrade doesn't take away from their revolutionary Retina MacBook Pro and their other great recent products.

What kind of decline
Apple's iPad business brings in 2/3rds the revenue of Google's entire business. ($8.7 billion vs $14 billion)
@fmanjoo: Apple's quarterly profits are now just below Google's quarterly revenues. ($13.1 b vs $13.97 b)

It's going to take a lot for Apple to fade, they may have peaked tho, but when Apple comes out with new devices, the girls don't know how to act.

I don't really like Apple as a company and the iSheeps it helped create but I have to give credit where credit is due.
The new iPhone 5 and the iPad Mini are flawless and amazing devices. I work in a T-Mobile store in Hungary (poor country) where we sell all kinds of phones and tablets and needless to say, they are the runaway favorites of the customers when it comes to top selling phones and tablets, even though 99% of the population here cannot even afford a Nokia 100.

Judging off that chart though there's a decline in Q2 every year, with holiday inflation boosting Q1.
