So alot of members like to frequent the 'Stand Your Ground' section on ATRL so they can get away with mean comments and nicknames. I personally think it's trashy, promotes hate and bullying. Am I being a prude or do other members agree with me?
I'm just wondering; What is everyone's thoughts on the 'Stand Your Ground' section on ATRL?
It used to be fun but now its a bit boring with all the unclassy jokes made and the girls that do the most to get noticed , i feel a lock coming in the future.
I agree with you. I don't venture there because of the negativity and mean/trashy attitude.
And some people linger so much there that they bring the same state of mind outside SYG.
I will never understand why they act like this .. I mean, are they like this in real life? I hope not
You can request a thread ban from SYG if you never want to accidentally enter it and see such comments.

Hmmm I don't use the thread..just not really into the whole unfunny shading and argument over whose better or whatever.
With that said, I don't see a problem with the thread. I don't think it's meant to be taken so seriously to begin with anyways. Most of the insults are directed towards the celebs(who more than likely will never see the thread). I rather have all that in one thread then have it all over the site.

We are much more strict when it comes to flamebait and trolling than other forums and places of discussion. So that's why we have SYG, so people still have one place where they can vent their thoughts unrestricted. It doesn't promote hate and bullying.
I check it sometimes but there are always the same people in it. And I can't believe that some people can be bothered for real because of some pop stars, what kinda mess.

Ok but these "thoughts" aren't normal, and by having a thread that allows it makes it seem like it's normal behavior and that it's totally acceptable in the normal world. It's just a playground to excercise cyber bullying.
And I can't believe that some people can be bothered for real because of some pop stars, what kinda mess.
