I like it for being a general area of chat with no specific topic you must stick to. You can find insightful comments and discover new things. I myself do not say shockingly offensive things, but other people will and that can't be helped. This is the Internet after all.
What's the most hilarious is that there are people who post ONLY there, I mean what kind of sad life do you have if you're spending your time fuming and seething over popstars you don't like
I sometimes go in there to post random music thoughts I have, but in general, I'm not trying to "drag" any artist. However, there's no real popular thread for anyone to just say random music thoughts. Ace started one but no one posts in it, and I like discussion. So sometimes SYG is the only place to go if you want to post something about a song around a bunch of people who don't all support the same artist(s).
SYG is also very, very pop girl focused. And it's mean-spirited. I've done some dissing in there but the extent some go to is frightening and vulgar tbh.
I used to like it back when arguments that were actually entertaining happened. Now all they talk about in there is irrelevant actresses from the 90s, Madonna's discography, albums nobody care about or have heard to make them seem like they have ~exquisite taste~ in music, and the occasional Little Monster trying to gain epopualarity by shading Rihanna and vice versa. It's an annoying thread and I hope the mods/admins lock it in the future. Maybe then some of the trash in there will get banned.
