Heads up, no posting here, since songs 5 and 4 finished with the same points and the same split of points. So at the bottom of the hour a super big 4 spot with all sixteen votes shown!!

Jinzo is playing tactical as f**k.
I don't believe that he really think that tracks like Call The Shots, Can't Speak French or Love Machine (and many others) are worse then this Xmas album or almost all of their b-sides and other releases.

"Biology"
Average: 9.3125
High score: 10 (Mikal, madonnas, BrinnySpurz, Ace Reject, Xorev, paulyyozd, spbb123, Victoria, ImpressiveInstant, True Skarlet, Doogle, Mandarke)
Other Scores: 9 (Xorev, @michael), 8 (PopBoi)
Low score: 3 (Jinzo)
"Sexy! No No No"
Average: 9.3125
High score: 10 (Mikal, madonnas, BrinnySpurz, paulyyozd, spbb123, @michael, Victoria, True Skarlet, PopBoi, Doogle, Jinzo, Mandarke)
Other Scores: 9 (Xorev, ImpressiveInstant), 8 (adrianbeane)
Low score: 3 (Ace Reject)
We technically have a three way tie, but 3rd place did better on the second scores
"Biology" has enough press considering it the best pop song of the 2000s in Britain. It's the only Girls song to chart on Pitchfork's Top Songs list, which is even more amazing since we all know it wasn't released here. "Sexy!" introduced a rewrite of the Girls image and sound, marking them as more aggressive and more layered. Both are quintessential numbers from them that not only define who they are as a group, but rewrote the very notion of a pop song - Biology is three songs jammed into one while Sexy's chorus takes up a majority of the song and there's never a clear end point.
Plus, there's just enough hate to link them together.

So who's #1...The Show? Sound of the Underground? Something Kinda Ooooh?

I do find Biology a BIT overrated. It's three songs mashed together which is amazing but other than that it's not any better than Sexy, Wake Me Up or Call The Shots imo.

"Sound Of The Underground"
Average: 9.3125
High Score: 10 (Mikal, madonnas, BrinnySpurz, Ace Reject, Xorev, paulyyozd, spbb123, adrianbeane, @michael, Victoria, ImpressiveInstant Mandarke)
Other Score: 9 (True Skarlet, PopBoi, Doogle)
Low score: 2 (Jinzo)
For the first 11 ballots it was #1 with a perfect 10 average. Then 3 9's showed up. Then Jinzo showed up and it fell from the top slot altogether.
So, what makes their first single so magical? Is it the surfer riff? Is it the surprising amount of swagger from a bunch of girls who were expected to not sell as well as a traditional boyband? Is it that it was just time for a girl act to kick some asses and reassert dominance?
Without this:
We don't get this:
It's a bit of all of it, and something more. Like with other songs I love, it's a song you didn't know you needed until it hit your ear. Pop was so blandly dance oriented that this guitar-and-synth number pops against the grain. It sticks out like a sore thumb but it's beyond an amazing sore thumb that demands attention. Release it today and it would be #1 in a minute. While I (and everyone else) would argue they have far better song and far stronger material, you never forget your first time and had they not done this right, there is no Girls Aloud today.

I'm sorry but jinzo's votes is just pure trolling, a mess
Now let's hope Something Kinda Ooooh wins.

And then there were two....
Ok, let's not kid ourselves. I did not expect these two as the last ones standing. But one shall win now.

"Something Kinda Ooooh"
Average: 9.375
High score: 10 (madonnas, BrinnySpurz, Xorev, paulyyozd, spbb123, adrianbeane, Victoria, True Skarlet, PopBoi, Doogle, Jinzo)
Low score: 7 (Mikal, @michael)
I...I seriously have no idea why this is in the top 20. While I love it for the cheese factor and the whole second verse, it's a bit of a mess as a song. It's fun and dirty and has a horrible horrible video that should be buried in the desert but it's one of those I just don't see how it got here. But it is poppers o'clock and I sing along at the top of my voice when it plays on my phone.
But Kimberley's hair was on point and that's really all that matters some times
Which means the winner is...
01

"The Show"
Average: 9.65625
High score: 10 (Mikal, Ace Reject, Xorev, paulyyozd, spbb123, adrianbeane, Victoria, ImpressiveInstant, Doogle, Jinzo)
Low score: 8 (Mandarke)
Look at them bumping out the competition!
I had hoped for a top 20 finish. I think it's a masterstroke of creating a proper and unified image of Girls Aloud. It shapes them into the pop superstars they would become, it forces people to take them seriously while having no problem laughing at them (since they were in on the joke), it fixed Kimberley's horrible hair style and it showed how their messy harmonies would work perfectly to create a sound that you would never find (and still can't find) on the radio.
But then again, even with my ten, I would have never said this was their best song. Hell, it wouldn't be in my top ten for singles. But when the votes were cast, "The Show" made it through and wins the Rate.

Good winner but obviously not their best song, but the whole rate was a mess since like Top50, I'm a bit pressed tbh
How long do we have to wait to repeat this rate?

I didn't realise there were such a small amount of voters.
Biology, CTS and SOTU are so damn overrated. The first two are just....mediocre. They're amongst the weakest tracks on their album. SOTU just sounds cheap nowadays. It hasn't really aged well to these ears.
Oh well. *bops to Grease and Crocodile Tears*

This is why people shouldn't sabotage; we end up with songs that are unoffensive to everyone at the top

Mikal, one question.
Why did you even accept Jinzo's troll ballot? -.-
Sound of the Underground - 2
Call The Shots - 2,5
Love Machine - 1
Can't Speak French - 1,5
Graffiti My Soul 1,5
Swinging London Town - 2
Life Got Cold - 1,5
This rate is completely meaningless now.

edit: give me a few and I'll show the adjusted top 20 if Jinzo had not voted (since that's where all the tears are aimed)
