Honestly individuality is a beautiful thing. The only problem with differences is that difference spawns hate, but that can be fixed with tolerance and eventually, acceptance.

But knowing human nature, that will never happen. That's a romanticists' ideal world.

There's a difference between crimes and illnesses as opposed to belief systems, race, and sexual orientation.

A world with diversity causes conflict, and rarely any tolerance.

It's not human nature, really. People are a product of their society, and America, while it certainly has societal issues to improve upon, has drastically progressed in terms of how the populace views differences in race, religion, etc. Even the allowance for gays to get wed in certain States is evidence of that.

Yes, but some countries (first world countries in particular, or anywhere where there is a distinctive cultural melting pot) can forego medieval cultural stigma and progress. Everyone has the ability to change their outlook, there just has to be an effort in the one who puts progression into motion and to the people being encouraged to progress.

That's a completely different story that would never happen tho, rapists and paedophiles are generally horrible things to do.

This is a complicated answer, simply because it's not one anyone has the answer to. But, it's agreeable that paedophillia involves children being violated therefore it's a crime.

But it's a tangent off diversity, and my question was, would people ever be able to accept paedophiles? If that answer is no, then universal acceptance of all diversity is not possible.
