Yeah what a waste of an album.. If she was smart she would release the songs that she recorded when she was with Jive, I would die for the full version of Breathe!!!!!!
I don't really like the cover, but I'm starting to love her and I think she could really do some damage on worldwide charts indeed. She's like a cross between Robyn and Kelly Clarkson with more range.
The re-worked X factor performances are stunning. This album captures her journey very well. What You've Done To Me is a SMASH and I hope it opens some doors for her. Can't wait for a full-fledged jaw-dropping debut studio album next year.

She needs to make her real first studio album, include "What You've Done to Me" and then give "Turn Around" its proper release. I still feel to this day that if that song had gotten some promotion, it'd SMASH.

I don't really like Everytime tho. But yas! I love Freefallin too along with UFO, Heartless and Wide Awake. I actually really like the album. This is one of the few cover albums that I really enjoyed.
The album debuted at #3 in the first week and was certified Gold shortly afterwards. In the second week it tumbled down to #13, but is still holding strong on iTunes, where it is at #7 right now. Her debut single, What You've Done To Me is #11 on the iTunes singles charts and should get a reasonable boost from the yesterday released official music video.

In other news, her debut album starts fading on Aussie itunes charts, which really worries me. I mean, WYDTM is still Top20 thanks to the video effect, but I hoped she would show a little more longevity considering the fact her sales are not as front-loaded as previous winner Reece Mastin. This doesn't bode well for her getting international exposure from her label. Mhm, we'll see.

She needs to follow the route that Jessica Mauboy took. Working with Australian writers and producers is not going to get her anywhere in the longrun, not even locally. I hope Sony see her potential by sending her out to the US to work with people over there. They did that with Jessica, and it payed off. If Samantha ends up like Jonny Ruffo with cheap rehash songs from the stale train, then I will be infuriated. She deserves so much more than the typical material other contestants get.
