Simple question... Do you think ATRL should have a Reputation system? It'd allow the members to receive a positive and negative reputation based on their posting abilities.
Also, should they incorporate some type of ranking by post count? For example:
1-100 posts (a new member)= Inspiring Musician
100-500 posts= Local Celebrity
500-1000 posts= Indie Artist
5,000-7,5000 posts= "It" girl
10,000-12,000 posts= Platinum Selling Pop Star
12,000-15,000 posts= International Pop Star
20,000-25,000 posts= Music Icon
25,000+ posts= Music Legend
or something along those lines.... What do you think?
Nah. People would only give it to their friends anyway and not base it on who necessarily is a good poster. Then it becomes a contest of who can get the highest rep. And I think it would really slow down the server if people are constantly pressing it.

That will never happen. It's tacky and try hard so I wouldn't even want it.
I mean it works well for the NBA and basketball forums I post on and it really filters some of the trolling. Like you aren't even allowed to make threads until after making so many posts.

But look at this environment. We're a little...different than most forums.
Hell no. People would dislike things more than actually like things. If I got in argument, or as simple as saying "I don't like (artist here)" haters would give negative reputations ALL THE TIME! Plus Reputations don't do much. I'm not gonna not talk to someone with a bad reputation, like what's the purpose?
