How is it only the 30th?

For ages there were only every 200 years, but then they realized that was silly and made it every 4 years. There are talks of making it a bi-annual event now since people love it so much.

The Ancient Olympics were organised in Ancient Greek, the modern Olympics have been around since 1896, organised every 4 years.

This is the modern Olympics that have been around since 1894 they don't count the ones from ancient Greece.

As far as I know, it was an event in Ancient Greece and after collapse of the civilization, it was stopped until 19th century when they resumed them back in Greece as well i think

From there, they held it every 4 years with interruption for WW1 and then huge interruption for WW2.

30 x 4 = 120 years + the missing ones, + 2 millenniums of absence.
