lol I only quoted jomarr's post to refute that it's not taught in in school (assuming he came from any Philippine school but with the same curriculum regardless) about the Earth's age because it really isn't. But that doesn't mean I was not educated that the Earth was more than 2000 years old. I know these stuff. How modern man evolved from homo habilis, erectus, to neanderthal, to homo sapiens, and the length of time (expressed in millions of years) it took for each stage to happen, how aboriginal people was the first to crossed land bridges to get to the Philippines and settle there some 30,000 or so years ago. These were actually taught in school. What is not taught is its actual age. That's not covered in the Philippine curriculum of basic Astronomy I suppose.
And even in Bible study, it's no brainer to assume the Earth is more than 2000 years old as it was actually only this number of years that passed since Jesus died. As I've mentioned earlier, there was even more long years of history of people stated in the Bible even before Jesus' existence. The whole Old Testament was dedicated to that.
