Hey guys, I figured with this being a music site that we would have many members who are song writers. I wanted to make this thread so that we (song writers) could show off our song writing abilities. We could show our written songs and help each other write lyrics. I think this may even help us become better song writers

I wrote this song when i was 17. It's about cutting. It's not me singing though it's some other dude.

There once was a man from Nantucket
Who kept all his cash in a bucket.
But his daughter, named Nan,
Ran away with a man
And as for the bucket, Nantucket.

Give this song a nice beat, and its a granted hit. Not like nobody listens to the lyrics sometimes.

On this is a rap mixtape I made with my friends. We all write our own lyrics and collaborate on the particular beats and choruses to come up with. I recommend the following FIRST.

A short section of my chorus is in my siggy for my song "suspect #1" but I agree with everyone else. If you guys don't want your songs stolen though just get them sent off for protection so that they are always yours to keep. Even if you don't ever plan on doing anything professional with them. Someone else may!

I like this, the rhyme scheme is done well and the lyrics are meaningful to you and seem deep rooted. Very sincere. Although there are areas where your grammar confused me a bit. Like "were" instead of "we're" are two different words and are said differently. Otherwise I really like them Keep it up !!!
