Britney's team need to push the envelope in what promotion concerns, they are too stupid, they need to plug her songs in popular shows, they need to get an iPod / iPhone commercial, simple things that don't need too much effort and/or Britney's presence since she's too relient to promote herself.
They did a great job with getting her songs plugged during the Circus era, Womanizer was used in ads for Motorola, and Circus was used in CW promos for Melrose Place, Gossip Girl etc, it was also used to plug the NBA All Star Commercials. And I think they did a great job with Till The World Ends, which was used in some ads, most significantly So You Think You Can Dance.
They relied way to much on how successful her last era was, that was all in my opinion.
In my opinion, it's not what you do throughout your era that makes it a success, it is what you do at the very beginning, that will determine its success. They really have to front load it, which they didn't at all for FF. This era didn't receive promotion until release week.
I thought her promo strategy for Circus was brilliant, for someone who wasn't going to make it a long term promotion thing. She released her single to radio, then released her single to Itunes, and then the video a week after, she did multiple performances abroad, and then brought it back to the states for a performance, tv interviews, coupled with her Documentary. She did it much like Madonna, Madonna will moderately promote the album and first single, and then go on tour and call it a day
The one thing they need next era, is another For The Record documentary, but not as depressing. She won over everyone with it, just in time for release week.
I think Behind The Scenes stuff is a good way to reconnect with fans, and get the audience to connect with the forthcoming album...when it's actually good. Unlike that last minute snooze fest I Am The Femme , For The Record was planned and put together for months.
i think the biggest problem with promotion is Britney herself
yall are quick to drag Larry/Adam or Jive but im sure its Britney herself who refuses the most promotion opportunities. I wonder how anytimes she has said no them in the last 3 years?
even this week is an example ... they tried to organise an interview with Alan Carr and it fell through. My guess is Britney refused last minute. Also she was supposed to host an afterparty at a London nightclub and bailed out last minute.
I agree. If she does a TV special to promote the album it needs to be more about the music like during the "In The Zone" era.
Well that is what I meant. She doesn't need to talk about her personal life, but Behind The Scenes and everything that went into making the album, talking to producers and writers, seeing the making of the video, and the album photo-shoot would do wonders. Get people to care about what you are puting out, before you do.

No because it would be boring and predictable.
About her music she would say:
I have an amazing team of people I work with. If I like a song I record it. I only record songs that have good vibes with it, you know?
About her making videos:
I always want to make something fresh and interesting and just want to have fun with it, you know? I have a great team of people and have never worked with Jonas, Ray Kay, etc .and it was interesting and cool to work with them.
About her tour:
It's probably my most exciting shows yet, you know? I love my backup dancers, they just have so much energy. There is about 6 or 7 costume changes and it's very interesting. I have a lot of my fun doing it and there is also crowd participation.
Well there must be a balance of the way they plan the promotion between ITZ and FF....I mean she doesn't need to be EVERYWHERE....BUT she should constantly be OUT THERE....not on every show.....not every night....but AT LEAST everytime she's releasing a single she should support and perform it live....thats all she has to do...and not some ****** performances at the beginning of the era and a horrid documentary and then NOTHING! (yeah besides this interview marathon on ONE day)

Now did I lie?
What are you going on about? I'm not talking about the Femme Fatale era, I'm discussing her NEXT era. And by the time the documentary came out, we would know virtually nothing about the whole album. The most interesting parts in Britney's documentaries, are the behind the scenes stuff. I love seeing her in the studio, on set, and seeing her process and hearing about all those who worked on the album. I know everything I need to know about Britney Spears the person, I even know what her va-jay-jay looks like, okay...she doesn't need to talk about her life, Katy, Rihanna, Beyonce..none of them do, so neither does Britney.
I want to see what goes on behind the scenes . I love when producers, and writers talk about what it is like working with her. Like this, in 9 minutes this was everything that I Am The Femme was trying to be and failed to be.

I caught that after I posted it. I was just too lazy to edit my correction.
If there would be another documentary for her next album it should be more like the ABC IN THE ZONE special....not gonna lie...watch it almost every month...just to remember the REALLY GOOD times.
See her performing Slave/Boys, Toxic and Boom Boom back then makes my day.
I wanna see her in the studio and i wanna see some dance rehearsals. And i pray to god that she stops the lame answers in EVERY!!!!!! Interview..
* "like, you know?"
* "i love my dancers. they have so much energy. they are like my family"
* "my new producer is so cool"
.....bla bla bla
I mean her answers are like the answers of a 15 year old girl, you know?
PLEASE for the love of GOD.....SAY WHAT YOU REALLY WANT TO SAY and stop READING messages for your fans!
I mean the look she gave her team everytime she answered a question is just
That wasn't a documentary...that was a concert special.
And if that is what you are waiting for, I'd just keep watching that old special if I were you....
Ok that was a documentary because i don't know what her being in the park has to do with her concert. It showed her personal side with a few performances.
And will keep watching it because its EPIC....but i just said IF SHE WOULD RELEASE ANOTHER DOCUMANTARY IT SHOULD BE LIKE THIS ONE!
