I hate when people imply she's retiring after this. Hopefully she'll have more creative control on the next album which she's rumored to have already began writing, whether the label will accept those written songs for the next album is a different story.

Agreed, BUT I don't want her to put out another album if it's rushed and if she's not going to promote the damn thing, the next era can NOT be like this one with almost nonexistent promotion, the promotion also needs to be consistent through out the era.

She specifically said "not too long of a break," to MTV. And a hiatus is not that long. That's only long when a band doesn't want to say they're breaking up. She'll have a new album next year. And personally I don't care if it's promoted hard or not, since it's clear the standard she's set herself at the last few albums as far as that goes. Plus I don't believe I'll be here to bitch and moan since I don't care. Just need a good album and a tour to spend money on.

yup, her song writing is amazing but she doesn't really write commercial pop music so the label usually tends to reject her song writing songs or they just end up as album fillers or unreleased tracks. She wants to make a album with ballads/mid-temp tracks so bad, esp. since the Original doll era never happened.

I wouldn't hold your breath on the promo. I think it will be about the same level as Circus or Femme Fatale.

During the 'In The Zone' era, Britney was EVERYWHERE. They promoted the hell out of that album. Some time afterwards (in an interview), she said she's learned that less is more and that she felt too 'out there' with 'ITZ' and that she wouldn't be promoting as much in the future. She's held pretty steady with that since then, so I just don't see her becoming a media ***** and doing the whole press circuit for her next album. But who knows? Maybe they will promote more next time around. I just wouldn't get my hopes up.

Britney's team need to push the envelope in what promotion concerns, they are too stupid, they need to plug her songs in popular shows, they need to get an iPod / iPhone commercial, simple things that don't need too much effort and/or Britney's presence since she's too relient to promote herself.

Well there must be a balance of the way they plan the promotion between ITZ and FF....I mean she doesn't need to be EVERYWHERE....BUT she should constantly be OUT THERE....not on every show.....not every night....but AT LEAST everytime she's releasing a single she should support and perform it live....thats all she has to do...and not some ****** performances at the beginning of the era and a horrid documentary and then NOTHING! (yeah besides this interview marathon on ONE day)
