The reality is that every time someone calls Caitlyn "he" it's usually in a hostile tone in response to something she said. That's why it's offensive.
And anyway, males on here have been called sis/girl/ha since forever ago. It's more like slang on ATRL than it is used to be malicious or disrespectful. It's not a question of equality; the two aren't mutually inclusive. It's how the word is used that matters whether it's perceived as offensive or not.
