Are news from last month still considered celeb news? If they didn't get a thread back then and they weren't a instant impact type of news, can a thread be opened? I feel it's something worth discussing and that might have been buried in another thread not focusing on them.
I think it depends on the mod and if the thread was reported or not. If I recall correctly, your thread was reported, no? I aslo think it depends on the amount of reported threads per thread. Your thread probably contained a lot of vulgar posts and in that case it's easier and more efficient for a mod to close the thread to prevent even more similar posts rather than to go though every report. Regardless, it depends on the mod, really. I suppose some are more sensitive to such click-bait threads that always garner gay men's interest.

You know what type of posts were going to be posted while opening that thread. Like I said, a mod probably closed it to prevent the inevitable mess that was about to ensue.
