1st it's not a ballad. It's a med-tempo. 2nd album sales shouldn't really affect it. It didn't affect the other singles, it won't affect this one. Finally, I don't know how many times I have to say this LFN struggled because the music video was released at a bad time, and there was no promo. I have said time and time again that if it is in the same situation that LFN is in, there is like no chance of it going #1. It needs a good, no GREAT, music video at the right time and several performances.
ok its a med-tempo. but to say album sales not really affecting the single is complete a lie since the single is the same as the album version therefore theres no need for people who bought the album to purchase the single again (since theres really no difference and im talking about the general public here, not the die hard fans).
but i respect your opinion though. and im rooting for it to come true. #fingercrossed
So basically, your lying to yourself to make yourself feel better just in case it doesn't work out. That's fine.
But stop giving me **** for not being delusional.
No, I'm not lying to myself since I'm not expecting that much from a midtempo sixth single from this 1 year-2 months old album. I'll be geniunely surprised if this manages to be a top 5 hit

Exactly. It's exactly the same as the album version. And seeing how the album sales are relatively low, shouldn't that mean less people have it then they would of a another 6th single?
Single sales affect album sales, not the other way around. Unless, maybe if an album sold massively, then I can see people not buying singles because they already have the song.

if the album have sold 2M, shouldn't TOTGA be 2Xplatinum now?.
Now now, let's not get catty. I'm not expecting TOTGA to hit #1, but if it does then props.
LFN wasn't a flop either. It peaked at #2, do you know how many other pop gurls would love to be in that position? Seems like everything that doesn't hit #1 is a "flop" by Katy standards.

i know. but its like 2 millions have been sold (solely based on album sales)
Well yea two million people do have the song.... but people normally don't buy one track on an album unless it's a single. All the other singles had just at low starting points if not lower before they were singles.

LFN hit #1(cause unmentionable reasons hehe) BUT,... it would have hit #1 on its own if music video was released 3-4 weeks later than it was.
@Kats and PurryKaty, Allie is well aware that LFN went #1. She is just saying that LFN got t #2 all by itelf with no promo, bad music video timing, and was over a year after the lead single was released. That's still VERY impressive.
