Dangerously in love is not a great album. It's a good start up record. The singles +2-3 songs are solid. I used to go in with hip hop star. It's SOOOOOOO bad now. Yikes. Still love Yes.
It took some old r&b sounds and modernized them.
B'day was the first era I actually purchased her album and I bought the walmart edition which had 2 hours of interviews/making of Me myself and I etc. MY favorite era as I lasted stanned it.
It was done in 2 weeks AND IT SHOWS...it's disjointed. It just took old 70s 80s r&b sounds and mixed them with high energy current sounds. Then they tried to recreated crazy in love with deja Poo. No ma'am.
I am such a farce was the era I hopped off. It wasn't the mickey mouse single ladies. It was the idea that she was presenting much that had little relation to her personally just for the sake of selling out and having big records. Producers even commented that the era was about "big records"
4 and Lemonade had they been her 3rd and 4th eras, respectively I might still be a stan.
4 took 70s 80s and 90s r&b sounds and modernized it. Little originality but I like the songs the best on 4.
Beyonce great way to get more creative and she did take some elements from Rihanna's image but I like that she became daring.
Lemonade: Freedom still gives me chills and half of it still holds. The other half doesn't. there were 3 weak songs on it to begin with. Love the theme and message of turning lemons into lemonade.
