It's a shame because if you really look at most female careers, a good part of it is about being sexualized even if they have great talent or not.

the point is that there are also a lot of white females in entertainment that are not sexualized and at the same time they're praised to high heavens for it and even when the sexualized entertainers are **** shamed, they're still more celebrated for their image by men and aspiring women.
The "un-sexualized" black women you listed may have succeeded in portraying themselves as such but ultimately did little to the perception of black females. The only one you listed who made a big impact on pop culture/society was Whitney Houston... who was later perceived as a drugged up maniac. (I'm not saying that's true or not)
Black women are portrayed at least 90% of the time as overtly sexual. and because of white dominance (in really everything) they're seen as trash by the majority of audiences/society. And because that very same society buys into it (like actually buy $$$) media and entertainment continue the same, sick cycle.

If black women are not sexualized they are seen as loud and ghetto and not wife material by any race.
