I don't remember how Russian Roulette goes but I know it was not a risky song for her, and Stay wouldn't be risky for any artist....
The navy gives her way too much....just be happy that she can sing a little bit and is pretty sometimes

No, not her accent, her VOICE. You can't even hear her accent in many of her songs, a lot of people didn't even realize she was Bajan until recently.
Growing musically is experimenting with different sounds, it means making albums different from your last, and Rihanna does that. Rated R was completely different than GGGB, MOTS, and AGLM, Loud was a complete departure from Rated R, Unapologetic/TTT were not the same as Loud. You can make great music without necessarily writing it. Do you know how many iconic songs weren't written by the people who sang them? Producing your own music doesn't automatically make you better than another artist. And that's not stay Rihanna doesn't have a hand in her own music, some of her best songs are songs she co-wrote on, like Fire Bomb and Love Without Tragedy.
You don't remember Russian Roulette but you claim you know it wasn't a risky song for her? How would you know that if you don't even REMEMBER it? Critics and fans everywhere called that song a risk. And Stay was a slow ballad that could've easily failed, as many pop girls do with ballads, but it didn't. You're embarrassing yourself in this thread.

That's not saying much since NONE of the Pop girls DRASTICALLY switch from one genre to the next on every album except maybe P!nk. P!nk went from R&B to ROCK to Pop etc so if it's anybody I'd say she is.

It doesn't really matter what you think that says about Rihanna though, because that wasn't the point of the thread, it was comparing her to other pop girls and a lot of people didn't comprehend that. Pink's definitely another great example of a musically diverse pop girl though, I'm not disagreeing with you there.
