If we're using the raw definition of the word "really", there simply isn't REALLY a god, and nothing a religious person says can change that fact.

A lot of people have the need to believe in one thing or the other though. It's been a consistent trend throughout human history. Reality is just so flawed that most people need something more to believe in to get them through the day. And ain't nothing wrong with that.

Personally, I try to focus on making the most out of reality. I guess you could say my belief system is bettering myself and my own existence.

Science doesn't claim to know everything. Science seeks to logically answer the unknown. Much is unknown about the beginnings of the universe, but there is a lot known. And over time, we'll progressively learn more.

Religion, on the other hand, relies on blind faith. Religions and churches are merely glorified cults. Religions were created to explain the unknown. The first humans didn't know why certain things happened. They thought it was divine or magical. Modern science, however, can explain most of their questions.

That's the difference. People wanted answers and comfort. Science gave them answers without the comfort, so now they reject science.

I only really know about Christianity, but I know most denominations don't use the Old Testament since Jesus' resurrection.

Yes, inconsistency. You're insisting that something must have caused the Big Bang, but you're fine believing that nothing caused god. That's inconsistent reasoning.

And IDK who said science explains everything and why, because it doesn't - yet (and maybe it never will). Still doesn't mean you can point to a god just because science can't confirm our origins yet.

Last I heard, no one can become an angel. The angels are gods sons. That's why fallen angels exist (unless they did some other mess); they came to earth and had sex with women and created giants, cyclopses, and all kinds of other things.
