20. Cee Lo Green- Forget You
This was another one of the songs that everyone seemed to either love or hate in 2011. Personally, I loved the great energy of the song, and the way it incorporated the feel-good, Motown sound while having such nasty lyrics. I also liked the idea of the video, which was set completely in a diner, and showed Cee Lo getting rejected by a girl many times but ending up getting the last laugh. It was great that when the song seemed to be dying in late 2010, it rebounded due to Glee and the Grammys and became one of the biggest digital and radio hits of 2011.
This is the only song by Cee Lo Green on the chart.
19. Kelly Clarkson- Mr. Know It All
This is another song where I feel like if the artist hadn't ben as great, I wouldn't have paid as much attention to the song. It didn't have the energy of "My Life Would Suck Without You", or the sassiness of "I Do Not Hook Up", or the heartfelt emotion of "Already Gone". However, I loved how the message in the song involved telling off a guy who she broke up with, calling him "Mr. Know It All", "Mr. Playing Games", and "Mr. Bring Me Down". I also loved how she chose to address the song to everyone who had doubted her in the past, as she showed in the music video many headlines talking about her conflicts with her label and saying her career was over. It wasn't the best choice for a lead single in my opinion, but overall I was very pleased.

18. Jennifer Lopez feat. Pitbull- On the Floor
I will admit, I didn't like this song much at first, just thinking of it as another generic pop song (and the Pitbull part didn't help either). However, as I began to hear it more, I realized that while it was generic, it was one of the greatest and most clever party songs I had heard in a while. Jennifer Lopez said the vocals on her new album were her strongest ever, as she didn't disappoint with this song. Also, while I usually don't like Pitbull, I couldn't deny his pure rapping skill on this song, as well as many of the clever lyrics he pulled off. A very impressive 2011 comeback for the 2000s Latino pop star.
This is the only song by Jennifer Lopez on the chart.
17. Sick Puppies- Maybe
I was so glad to see this great Australian rock band cross over to mainstream success in 2011 with this optimistic alt-rock tune. I discovered this song in 2010 through one of my favorite pop stations, and I really stanned for it to become successful during 2011. I loved the lyrics of the song, which I can relate to, as I have many times felt like changing myself based on what others say. I also loved the uplifting mood of the song, which made me feel happy every time I heard it. I wish this band the best of luck with any further material they release in the States.
This is the only song by Sick Puppies on the chart.
16. Dr. Dre feat. Eminem & Skylar Grey- I Need a Doctor
I was incredibly disappointed with Dr. Dre's lackluster 2011 comeback "Kush", so when I heard he would be collaborating with the great female vocalist Skylar Grey for his second single, I was very anxious to see what he would do. And I was not disappointed at all. Eminem's lyrics were very powerful and meaningful, praising Dr. Dre for helping him him in making his career as a rapper possible. Dre then came in for the last verse, and while I don't feel he was rapping to the best of his ability, he made up for that in his lyrics, which were in turn praising Eminem for always being there for him when no one else was. The only thing I don't get, is what's taking so long with the new album.
