Now bitch that wasn't any question. ATRL = Britney. It's like you were asking if ATRL should be shut down. YOU asked for this. Out of proportion my ass.

I don't think Britney needs to retire but I think she needs to take a break. But, I also think Jive should allow Britney to do an album that she wants to do. Britney should have been allowed to write some songs on Femme Fatale and it would be good to see Britney take more risks with her music. In The Zone and Blackout were different and that is why it's most people love those albums. I feel like Circus was her attempt to make a commerical pop album and Femme Fatale just feels like Blackout 2.0 I don't think it's anything special at all but it's a good pop album. Britney also needs to start doing more press for her albums, this whole thing of keeping her in a mysterious light and e-mailing interview questions and answers is just weird, people love her and she is not one of those artists that needs to be kept under wraps and away from the media.

Yeah, she had a #1 single, but how much have it sold so far? Did it have any longevity? Same goes for TTWE.
Besides, she have lost a lot of popularity outside of the US. Take the UK for an example.

Nothing seems to be the way, that it used to
Everything seems shallow, God give me truth
In me, then tell me somebody is watching over for me
And that is all I'm praying, that
Someday, I will understand
In Gods whole plan and what He's done to me
Oh, but maybe someday I will breathe and I'll finally see
I see it all in my baby
Don't you run too fast my dear, why don't you stop?
Just stop and listen to your tears, they are all you've got
It's in you, you see somebody is watching over for you
And that is all I'm praying, is that
Someday, you will understand
In Gods whole plan and what He does to you
Oh, but maybe someday you will breath and you'll finally see
You'll see it all in your baby, you'll see it all in your baby
No moment, would be more true
Than the moment, I look at you
It's in you, you see somebody is watching
Over for you and that is all I'm praying, is that
Someday, you will understand
In Gods whole plan and what He does to you
Oh, but maybe someday you will breathe and you'll finally see
You'll see it all in your baby, you'll see it all in your baby
You'll see it all in your baby, you'll see it all in your baby
Written solely by her.
When I think of it, it was like "Lucky" on steroids.
The video was beautiful as well.

It was just a simple question if Britney should have had retired at her best and be remembered forever like that, or reach an all time low and be remembered that way.
But I forgot this is ATRL. Everything has to get blown out of proportion.

Retiring at her very best would've been in '04 which would've only been 6 years into her career. And, I'm not here for that. Having Blackout, Circus, and even Femme Fatale in my life make it more epic.
Also, I believe you when you say you didn't start the thread to bash her. But, saying that Ke$ha is a better performer is just asking for side eyes to be cast upon you.

The biggest mistake was firing William Orbit (we must get his tracks someday) and getting Luke as an executive producer.

Britney shouldn't retire, but if we were going to make a list of people that should it would look something like this:
Ciara
Jordin Sparks (I'm a fan!)
Porcelain Black
Mya
Ashanti
Simpson (x2)
and that nasty, skank, bitch, Blu Cantrell.
