The reviews will keep this afloat for some time even without a hit single (and he'll definitely get a Grammy boost next year). He'll definitely hit 1M eventually.

I also expect a huge drop for Nicki. Urban artists in general tend to have frontloaded sales.

You don't think it will be too little, too late? I'm sure he'll get a boost but by then the album will be all but dead. Imagine if he'd released in time to qualify for this year.

I'm glad he didn't release before the deadline this year. I honestly think he would've been snubbed in favor of Eminem.

I'm not so sure the album will be completely dead in a year. 4k is enough to make the BB200 these days. But it depends on whether or not he continues to stay secluded. Kanye is an attention *****, so I really don't trust him to do that.

She promoted on AMAS and Jimmy Kimmel. It's not huge but it's about the same as a lot of people have on their 1st week.

Yeah I don't know how anyone can claim that K$ had no promotion. #1 single and an AMA performance is enough. She also had a banner on iTunes, which is huge given that digital is her bread and butter.

She should've released this week when there's less competition. She's not a massive physical seller so I doubt BF would've made much of a difference.

Two New Releases Are Only Six-Figure Bows

It’ll be a week to mind your Peas and Glees.

Although it’s beginning to feel a lot like a Black Friday hangover.

The Black Eyed Peas’ Interscope album, The Beginning and Columbia’s Glee Cast Vol. 4 appear to be the top debuts on next week’s chart, based on one-day sales figures from those retailers who haven’t sold out their supply of $198 42” LG flat-screen TVs. Both appear set to bow in the 110-125k range, which won’t be enough to unseat whoever sits at #1 next week.

That could be Miss Kris Kringle herself, Susan Boyle, if her Gift keeps on giving in the 225k-250k range, which should be enough to beat the likes of Kanye West and Nicki Minaj in their second week.

Other Top 50 debuts should be registered by J/RMG’s Jazmine Sullivan (55-60k), Def Jam/IDJ’s Christette Michele (40-45k) and Reprise’s AC stalwart Eric Benet (30-35k).

Curb Country veteran Tim McGraw’s Number One Hits, Geffen’s El DeBarge comeback and Def Jam’s Ron Isley are all expected to sell in the 18-22k area.

The market was up 26% vs. last week, down 5% vs. same week last year and still down 13% year to date. You may now return to getting full-body scanned by the TSA.

OUCH for the BEP. I knew it would be low, but not even 150k? Considering how massive their last-era was, this is horrible.

BEP pretty much started this horrible techno dance trend in pop music, and it looks like they're the first causalities. Hopefully they're not the last.

No, based on the first day's sales, it looks like they'll do around 125k for the whole week. So idk, maybe the 1st day was like 25k.

I love BEP, and I like The Beginning, but the album is not good All of the tracks sound the sames. The only standouts are Whenever & Take It Off, TBH.

I mean, although BBP, IGF, MMH, Alive, Missing You were generic, they had that magic in them, The Beginning is just soulless music.
