I'm kind of coming back to the feeling that it's her best which were my thoughts three years ago but I don't know, LAP, Confessions and Erotica have been sitting pretty in my trinity for a while now.

My point is , from the beginning to the end of the album, you can tell it's NOT a Madonna album in the full sense of it .
Her heart is not there . Just put it side to side to any other album of hers .... it's almost embarassing , tbh .
It does contain one of her best dsongs ever : Love Spent but , for me, that's it (along with Gang Bang and I'm Addicted . And I also like I F' Up and Best Friend) .

If someone thinks Like a Virgin is a bad album is because we live light years from the time it was originaly released and it's obviously out of context from the time it came out . It's an amazing album if you add all things (mid -eighties release, sexism, the videos , etc) .
I'm just citing LaV as an example, as fans in general deem it as one of her worst albums . I'm putting it into perspective alongside what trully is a bad album : MDNA.

That's my thoughts but I , obviously respect everyone's opinion .
One of my favorite members is a "Did You Do It?" fan , what else should I say ?

I see your point..but when I heard MDNA for the first time I was so excited and in disbelief in a good way.. because I didn't expect this type of sound, theme and lyrics from her... I think it has everything for each taste...there are songs you can pay at parties for 20 year olds and there are songs you can play in car for your 43 year old mother and songs that even surprise a long time fan.... Yes there are a silly but catchy songs but MDNA has also so many deeply personal songs like Falling Free... I only got positive feedback from people around me about MDNA... but that's OK...everyone has a different taste..

The leaked demos for MDNA are infinitesimally better than the final product, which just shows how "blah" Madonna was feeling about the project at the time.

I've always wondered how you become one of those artists that's unknown besides laying down demo vocals for bigger artists though. How tragic.

The only tour BS should have gotten was M visiting the hospitals in third world countries to play the album so the need for anesthesia would be eradicated. Bedtime Snories indeed.

I still remember when Perez Hilton leaked those short snippets and I was so excited because each and everyone of them were so damn good. And I also remember being so excited when Guy O. Said Girl Gone Wild would be the second single because I thought "wow, Madonna singing a song called GGW. It's gonna be a nuclear explosion".
Well, I partially agree that there are some bangers there but, overall, it leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
But yeah, it's good there's something for everyone and tastes differ

American Life is generally underrated... I would pray if radio or video station would do any Madonna special and play something from that era....I'm sad she isn't performing songs from it anymore...

1. The mixing/mastering is all compressed into one layer and she sounds like a dying chipmunk.
2. Why make a dance record with half-assed beats?
3. Amateur songwriting on most songs
4. Recycled productions (GGW=generic,Solveig= his own recycled beats, I'm SInner=Beautiful Stranger 3.0)
5. Messy tracklist (dark electro ---> retro bubblegum ---> ballads)

There are like three creative songs (Gang Bang, I'm Addicted, Love Spent) and I personally love GMAYL but the chanting is cringe inducing. Masterpiece is cute too but we know it's not intended to be on this record.
