Lemme tell ya why I don't like it .
Ever since the very beginning when I read articles saying she hit hit the studio in July 2011 I was out of this world excited .
Then 1 and a half month later, Guy O. tweeted that they were done with 'studio time' and I was like
From that moment , I had a feeling things wouldn't turn out well in the end.
Few weeks later, Guy O. (again) tweeted that Madonna had so many commitments around that time that she even had a singer (does anyone remember her name?) to sing the songs for her so she could only get into the studio, record her stuff and then leave .
I was through the roof worried.
Cut to the GMAYL leak , I was literally like this
My point is , from the beginning to the end of the album, you can tell it's NOT a Madonna album in the full sense of it .
Her heart is not there . Just put it side to side to any other album of hers .... it's almost embarassing , tbh .
It does contain one of her best dsongs ever : Love Spent but , for me, that's it (along with Gang Bang and I'm Addicted . And I also like I F' Up and Best Friend) .
If someone thinks Like a Virgin is a bad album is because we live light years from the time it was originaly released and it's obviously out of context from the time it came out . It's an amazing album if you add all things (mid -eighties release, sexism, the videos , etc) .
I'm just citing LaV as an example, as fans in general deem it as one of her worst albums . I'm putting it into perspective alongside what trully is a bad album : MDNA.
That's my thoughts but I , obviously respect everyone's opinion .
One of my favorite members is a "Did You Do It?" fan , what else should I say ?
