It's not even an image haul. She needs that conventionally pretty look. I really don't care, but that's the case. I've heard "cause she's ugly" as an excuse to why people don't like her too many times.

I'm in two minds with her image. On one hand I don't want her to compromise who she is and what she likes, but on the other...it seems so needlessly compromising of her work to try and be off-putting visually, just to rub people up the wrong way and for the sake of being different.
Not saying she should be basic, but no alien horns/surreal moles/bleached eyebrows/face paint etc. would only help her cause. If it pains her to conform, excuse it on the grounds of being ironic.

I think ARTPOP should be classy, fun and colourful but with her eccentric edge. She's been rocking some brilliant 60's-esque looks this year, and I reckon that direction would be perfect. It references the era of pop art, she can emulate the icons in typical Gaga fashion and it's a fresh take.
She could have a different colour theme per single, perhaps. Simple way of keeping things consistent but still evolving.
