@ezra France bombed Syria 2 months ago killing hundreds of civilians. This wasnt some random crazed religious attack it was in direct retaliation to french bombers that killed innocent mothers, children, and fathers in Syria.

Please don't tell me you're trying to justify this with an "eye for an eye" mentality. Nothing justifies this
EDIT: And I'm sorry if I'm misinterpreting, but that's how it's coming off

This is so, so heartbreaking. May the victims rest in peace.
I was reading & watching videos about Paris last night and telling my family how I would love to live there one day so sad...

I understand if the attacks are in retaliation, but let's not act like France is/was in the wrong. Those air strikes were obviously justified.

No, they actually wanted to kill more people. They planned to explode the bombs when everyone was leaving the stadium, killing most of the people attending, then the gunmen would start chaos at other parts of the cities killing random citizens and then go to the theatre.

The main reason France attacked was because of ISIS, who is using religion as their main motivation. Everything involving ISIS is a religious affair.

Okay, I edited too cause I thought I might be jumping to conclusions. That makes sense.
Again, sorry for the misunderstanding.

The solution, and I believe it is the only solution (unfortunately) is for the United States, Europe, and Russia, go into Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and any other middle eastern country that harbors terrorists, and outright take those countries over and control them for a few years, until terrorism is seriously weeded out! This sounds extreme and might involve lots of money, but you are dealing with extremists and there is no sense in trying to be peaceful or to only discuss it. You need to seriously knock them out with serious intent. You match extremists by being extreme and not by being *******!

But there's millions of innocents in those countries who would essentially become prisoners of war
It can't be done like that

The onus of providing receipts is the person making fake claims, not the one calling them out on it for a faulty source.

I don't think this is it for the attacks tonight.
I want to be optimistic and hopeful that it's done, but it seems to be very organized and synchronized.
I think there's potential for more to come. Not just in Paris, but worldwide

Tbh, the results of this action would be unknown. People would view their own governments unfavorably after a while. It could lead to a resistance state so we'd be fighting two enemies. In the end, there might even be a whole another Al Qaeda/ISIS. Fighting fire with fire isn't the only solution.

All borders closed. Belgium increased security at border. All airlines, trains and the Euro fully functioning.
American Airlines is the only one delaying flights.

I agree with this. I feel like it's been long enough that it might be done, but these people seem smart. And the smart thing to do would have people let their guard down because it's "done" only to strike again. And I really hope I'm wrong

That would be modern colonialism, I don't think that would be a solution, it could backfire. But I agree something must be done. Innocent civilians dying in both the West and the Middle East must stop.
