HOME soundtrack and DVD being combined is a great strategy on Dreamworks behalf. The Navy will be forced into buying the DVD (

), all the parents who were only interested in one or the other will be forced to purchase both, which means that they'll also be paying a higher sticker price.
It would technically be a "new" and "revolutionary" way of marketing a movie and soundtrack as well. They could include a bunch of features on the DVD (karaoke versions, music videos, behind-the-scenes of the album) as well. It's actually an interesting idea.
It also makes me wonder if they're releasing the two-disc package early? Otherwise idk why stores would know about it...
Regardless, this would boost their DVD sales and save them from the album being labeled a "flop." The RIAA won't be giving certifications to an album packaged with a DVD. I don't even think they would try.
I wonder if they would even bother releasing a single from the album. I'm sure they're praying and hoping for a "Happy"-esque smash but idk how you can do that if the CD isn't separate from the DVD.
